Cowboys

Deke Kotto is a black make-up-the-rules-as-you-go street cop with a marriage on the skids from his many dalliances and has a disabled son he dotes on. Tim Brady, white, is a happily married FBI agent who likes to bowl and figures to one day retire from the Bureau with his pension. Career-making leads spur their bosses in the police and feds to send these two undercover, unbeknownst and uncoordinated with each other.  As Kotto and Brady go submarine and come at the case from different ends, both men lose their way as they submerge deeper and deeper, identifying with their false identities. But each figures to cowboy up when the time comes — if everything doesn’t explode before then.
